Have you ever opened a novel, excited to escape into a new world, only to feel like you’ve stumbled into a linguistic obstacle course? As a non-native English speaker, that’s exactly how I feel. I can chat comfortably in English, but the moment I try to read a novel—bam! It’s like authors have a secret stash of flowery, over-the-top words reserved just to confuse me. And those scene descriptions? Don’t even get me started.
For years, I avoided reading English novels. Then I had an idea: what if I used AI to make those overwhelming descriptions easier to understand? Instead of flipping through a dictionary for every other word, what if I focused on small excerpts, paired with visual explanations, to make the process less painful?
That’s how SceneSculptor started. It’s a tool I created to help myself (and others) make sense of the fancy words authors love, while enjoying the process. By breaking down novelistic descriptions into visuals, it makes learning this kind of language less intimidating and more approachable.
Take a look, explore the gallery, and see how it works! If you’re a writer, feel free to use the scenes as creative prompts. I’d love your feedback to help make this even better.
